About Reed Nurse

Reed Nurse is the UK's most widely recognised nurse recruitment agency. Our success is based on:

  • Our focus on nursing - it's all we do
  • Our staff - their attitude and their expertise
  • Our unique approach to working with nurses

We are a division of Reed Health Care, the leading recruitment organisation dedicated to health and social care recruitment. Our philosophy is that we are here to help people develop into the best healthcare professionals they can be.

Our unique approach

We work for you.

You spend your working life caring for other people. It is often easy to forget to care for yourself. We follow four simple rules.

  • Access to the jobs you want to do, when you want to do them
  • Easy-to-use service
  • A service that recognises you as an individual
  • An accessible service without financial barriers

Test us against our rules

There are no financial barriers to joining us - no fees, no Criminal Records Bureau charge, no uniform or training to pay for. (Conditions apply). And you can access the team from 6.00 am until midnight through our call service - meaning we are there when you want us.

We want to be the best and we want you to work with us. We put all of our time, effort and energy into supporting your career, while you get on with living your life.

While you take care of your life, we will take care of your career

We start by investing the time to understand your needs, skills and lifestyle. Once we know you, we can find the best possible job for you - which is why we believe in building a personal relationship with all of our nurses. Our friendly and approachable staff have a deep understanding of the market and of the job, so they know exactly where you're coming from. And we realise that everyone is different, with different skills and strengths, but also with different priorities. We will take the time to listen and learn not only about your needs and your future ambitions, but also about your current lifestyle and preferences.

Once we have identified your personal views and needs we will consistently work to meet them. We believe that our job does not stop when you start yours. Our appraisal and support process guarantees that we can suggest extra training that might help you in the future and advise you on the best way to manage your career.

  • Moving from job to job can be a stressful experience. We aim to make the experience of being a Reed Nurse as easy as possible. Our nurse handbook covers all you need to know about working with us, but we will also ensure that wherever you are asked to work for us, we provide everything you need to know about:
    The role
    The site
Access to the site and the facilities once you get there

Developing your career

We believe that finding you a good position is only half of our job. We also want to make sure that you make the most of your current skills and keep developing new ones. That way, you get the best career possible and the demands of the market are met.

We can help you meet your PREP requirements through a wide range of in-house seminars and courses covering both clinical and management skills. We also offer CPR and manual handling training. We have strong links with the Open University, too. With our help, you can go as far as you want to.

Pay and benefits

Our size and experience in the sector means that we are able to ensure our benefits package is amongst the best around, with all of our nurses having access to:

  • Holiday pay
  • Free uniforms
  • Free mandatory training courses

The international dimension

We are an international company, with offices in Canada and Australia. We regularly recruit nurses from overseas and help them relocate to the UK. We will, of course, find you a challenging, interesting and rewarding position that suits your skills, experience and wishes. But we will also make sure that the transfer process is as smooth as possible. We can guide you through the immigration maze and help you with your visa application. We will be with you every step of the way, making sure that your life and work in your new home is exciting for all the right reasons.
